Nagehan Pakdamar Tüzgen received her PhD in 2025 from the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences at Boğaziçi University with her dissertation titled “The Role of Adult Education in Refugee Communities: Experiences of Syrian Refugee Women.” She completed her undergraduate studies at Boğaziçi University with honors in the dual major programs of Early Childhood Education and Guidance & Psychological Counseling, during which she carried out internships and observation studies in distinguished educational institutions in Istanbul. She also took active roles in various social responsibility projects and non-governmental organizations that support equal opportunities in education. She earned her master’s degree in the Guidance & Psychological Counseling Program at Boğaziçi University with her thesis titled “Psychological Needs During Pregnancy: A Qualitative Analysis of New Mothers' Introspection” and subsequently completed the non-thesis master’s program in Managing Educational Institutions at Ibn Haldun University. She also studied English at the University of California Berkeley, to support her academic development. Since 2017, she has been continuing her academic work at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Ibn Haldun University. Her research interests include adult education, migration and education, women’s studies, and social justice in education. She is married and a mother of three.
