He completed his undergraduate education at Middle East Technical University, Department of International Relations in 2013. He received his master's degree from Bilkent University, Department of International Relations in 2015. He completed his doctorate at Koç University, Department of Political Science and International Relations with his thesis titled "Nationhood Cleavage and Ethnic Conflict". His main interests are comparative ethnic politics, nationalism, Balkan politics and research methods. His academic work has been published in leading area studies journals such as Mediterranean Politics, Problems of Post-communism and Ethnic and Racial Studies. He is currently a doctoral faculty member at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Ibn Haldun University.
