IHU Summer Language School Program for Modern Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, Arabic and Persian

June 29 2026 - August 14 2026, IHU Başakşehir / Suleymaniye Campus and Online (Zoom Platform)

The Ibn Haldun University (IHU) Summer Language School Program offers intensive instruction in Modern Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, Arabic and Persian for students and professionals. This is a full summer term that lasts seven weeks and offers transferable credits. A fully immersive experience is designed to include co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as study hours, seminars by leading scholars on history, politics, literature, and arts, and cultural events such as film screenings and field trips to historical sites and archives.

  • Elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels are available.
  • 20 hours per week for 7 weeks (140 hours of instruction) - Fully transferable, equivalent to two regular semesters.
  • Tuition is USD 3000 (USD 2500 for the online program).
  • Discount (USD 250) available for students recommended by their academic advisors or employers.
  • The application deadline for the first round is May 31st.

Tuition fees for courses to be offered during the Summer Term of the 2025-2026 Academic Year at Ibn Haldun University:

  • Ibn Haldun University Students:
    Language Courses (140 hours): 23,000 TL (Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, Arabic, Persian) – (Minimum 7 students required)
    Language Courses (70 hours): 14,000 TL (Minimum 5 students required)
    Departmental Courses: Single Course (42 hours): 13,000 TL (Minimum 4 students required)

  • Turkish Citizens and International Students Studying in Türkiye (Outside of IHU):
    Language Courses (140 hours): 34,000 TL (Minimum 5 students required)
    Departmental Courses: Single Course (42 hours): 16,000 TL (Minimum 3 students required)

  • Turkish Citizens and International Students Studying Abroad:
    Language Courses (140 hours, In Person): 3000 USD (Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, Arabic, Persian) – (Minimum 2 students required)
    Language Courses (140 hours, Online): 2500 USD (Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, Arabic, Persian) – (Minimum 2 students required)
    Departmental Courses: Single Course (42 hours, In Person): 500 USD (Minimum 3 students required)
